The best oil for your heart
Terra Via came to Hatch with the goal of launching a new innovative product that would disrupt the cooking oil industry. Thrive Algae Oil is made with golden algae and has the flexibility to be used in cooking with high heat, baking, as well as salad dressing. On top of the oil being sustainable, the largest benefit to consumers was its heart health.
One of our biggest challenges was to change the perception of algae from being something green and unappealing to something edible and delicious. As lead designer and art director for this project, I worked with the team to implement a brand strategy of putting the message of heart health first. We leaned into the gorgeous golden color of the oil, and showcased the all of the fresh ways the cooking oil could be used. We partnered with photographer, Annabelle Breakey to bring this vision to life, resulting in a brand that is bursting in health and flavor.
